Mr. Saxophone has been entertaining children in the St. Louis area since 1997. Performer Dave Farver plays the saxophone and acoustic guitar with a prerecorded accompaniment while the kids sing and dance. The performances are thematic and are completely new from month to month.

The shows are very interactive with costumes, musical instruments, and props to let the kids get in on the fun! Many child care centers and preschools feature Mr. Saxophone monthly as part of their curriculum, while others invite him in for special occasions (parents night, holiday parties, in-house field trips). The shows are entertaining as well as educational, with an emphasis on informing kids of the wondrous variety of instruments and musical styles from around the world. Over 140 different organizations have invited Mr. Saxophone including area public schools, YMCAs, libraries, the Red Cross, Kindercare, La Petite Academy, The Goddard School, and countless other child care centers. So give Mr. Saxophone a try. It’s a sure-fire way to make the kids happy, give them some much needed exercise, and to offer stimulation for the growing mind!
